Managing for 4Gen Working

As a perimenopausal woman and HR Consultant, I’ve seen first-hand the tension and disconnect many professional women are feeling as we navigate today’s rapidly evolving workplace. One of the biggest – and often unspoken – challenges is the generational divide. It would be remiss not to acknowledge the impact of this shift, especially on managers from Generation X and the Baby Boomer generation.

Today’s organisations are uniquely positioned with four generations working side by side: Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z. Each brings distinct values, communication styles, expectations, and ways of working – creating both rich opportunities and potential friction.

I am here to help you explore why it’s vital to equip managers with the skills and awareness to lead across generational lines. My bespoke coaching and training programmes are designed to help managers navigate this complex landscape with confidence.

By understanding the needs and strengths of each generation, leaders can foster collaboration, reduce misunderstandings, and build truly inclusive, high-performing teams. With the right tools and insights, it’s possible to turn generational differences into a powerful source of innovation and cohesion.
