Investing in Yourself: Celebrating International Coaching Week 2025 with Growth, Connection and Community

As we celebrate International Coaching Week 2025, I’m taking a moment to reflect—not just on the impact coaching has on others, but also on the transformative power it’s had in my own life.

Stepping into my role as a career coach and solopreneur two years ago was more than a career move—it was a calling. But to truly support others, I’ve learnt I must walk the path myself. And that means investing—in myself, in community, and in continued growth.

Investing in ourserlves, pays dividends.

The Courage To Invest In Yourself

When I founded Pause and Empower, I knew I wanted to create a space where women could feel seen, supported, and reconnected to their strengths—especially during life transitions like menopause, career change, or redundancy.

But building that space meant doing the inner and outer work too.

Just like I encourage my clients to prioritise their own development, I’ve had to do the same. Coaching doesn’t stand still, and neither should we.

Finding My Tribe: Women in Business Networking (Bedford)

One of the most empowering decisions I’ve made was to join Women in Business Networking (Bedford). This isn’t just a networking group—it’s a community of incredible, dynamic women who genuinely cheer each other on.

From the very first meeting, I felt welcomed. Supported. Encouraged to be bold in my business and authentic in my approach. The relationships I’ve built here have helped me feel embedded in the solopreneur environment, and the wisdom I’ve gained has been as valuable as any formal qualification.

We’re stronger together—and this group reminds me of that every month.

Staying Professional with The Coaching Catalysts

Alongside community, professionalism matters deeply to me. That’s why I’m so grateful for my membership in The Coaching Catalysts. Their approach to supervision and continuous professional development has been instrumental in my growth—not just as a coach, but as a reflective, ethical practitioner.

Through supervision and development spaces, I’m keeping my skills sharp and my coaching grounded. I also have a safe space to explore challenges, deepen my practice, and stay accountable to the values I hold dear.

They are helping me balance the heart of coaching with the rigour it demands—and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for.

Leading by Example

International Coaching Week is the perfect time to pause and reflect: am I leading by example?

The answer, proudly, is yes.

I invest time, energy and money in myself because it matters. Because I want to keep learning. Because I want to model the message I share with my clients every day: you are worth investing in.

Whether it’s supervision, coaching, or attending networking events—I treat my own growth as non-negotiable. And I do it not just for me, but for the women I support through Pause and Empower.

What This Week Is Really About

International Coaching Week is more than a date in the calendar. It’s a celebration of what coaching makes possible—for individuals, for teams, and for wider communities.

It’s also a time to recognise the coaches behind the scenes—their integrity, their commitment to growth, and the ways they, too, keep showing up to do the work.

I’m proud to be part of this profession. I’m proud to invest in it. And I’m proud to belong to two strong and supportive communities—Women in Business Networking (Bedford) and The Coaching Catalysts—who make this journey less lonely and so much more fulfilling.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve been wondering whether it’s time to invest in yourself, let this be your sign. Join the community. Seek supervision. Attend the workshop. Book a coach. Because when you invest in yourself, everything changes. I’ve seen it—in my own life, and in the lives of the women I coach.

And during International Coaching Week, there’s no better time to start.
